Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll check them out.

      Pat,

If you’re willing to go a little farther north, I highly recommend Nelson Yacht Sales in Beaufort, North Carolina:
http://www.nelsonyachtsales.com . Serious, uncommonly honest, effective yacht brokers. I’ve known them for years. They’ll be
able to suggest the best boat yards between Beaufort and Charleston.

Can you recommend any specific broker?

Consider Oriental,NC.Deaton’s Yacht Brokerage has not only sold several Pearson 424’s,Jack recently bought one for himself-ICON.There are at least 6 Pearson 424’s in the area and they sell quickly there-2-3 months.

      Pat,

There are only two brokers there, John and Lisa Nelson. They work together so it doesn’t matter which one you talk to
first. They’re not a big outfit, although they used to be regional dealers for Island Packet and Saber yachts. These
days they only broker pre-owned cruising sailboats, “very clean or better.” Thing is, you and your boat will get
personal attention from them, rather than being just another listing in a big house. From what I’ve seen, they work hard
and they’re good at it, and you can believe what they tell you. (More than I can say for some yacht brokers I’ve known.)
They’re probably your best bet between Fort Lauderdale and Annapolis.
