Anyone deal with a sagging floor in the salon? The area is on the stb. Side close to the water tank, about half down the length of the tank location.
It appears that the screws that hold the teak veneer along the side of the tank have pulled out from excessive down forces.
Am I the only one experiencing this?

I had the whole salon floor sagging basically about an inch or so midway near the centre of both settees. I used a floor jack on top of the keel to eliminate the sag and then inserted a piece of 4 inch square pvc fence post vertically to maintain the elevation. I had cut some addition pvc into an angle shape and inserted it between the four inch vertical and the horizontal “floor joist” to distribute the load. I installed these supports both fore and aft of the mast and have not had any negative consequences yet. I can try to get a picture later this week if you would like.

Had the same problem. Seems the supports for the floor and water tanks kind-of float.

I jacked up the floor and added a short column in front of the mast. Tried adding a wedge between the floor and the hull but the wedge dislodged.

All in all the short column solved the problem.

IDYLL OURS, when in Auckland, discussed the issue.

I like the idea of a PVC post rather than wood, especially since water from the anchor locker drains past this point.

      Cheers
