When I was in Bermuda, I was forced to put in a fuel polishing system because I had picked up a load of water.
It uses the regular fuel pick up,goes through the racor filter, to an electric fuel pump where it bypasses the injectors and goes right back to the tank. At first I picked up a lot of water which was the problem. but I haven’t had any water in the filter during my entire winter in the Bahamas.
Before I took the tank out, I pumped all 55 gallons through that polishing system and there was no water in the tank and no water in the filter.
