I was lucky enough to meet an extraordinary human, Mr. Manoru Saito. He sailed into my marina in HNL for repairs. Saito San has sailed 7 circumnavs SOLO! He is now on his 8th and last solo trip around FROM WEST TO EAST. Even Bligh had to give this up. To top it off, he’s 76. Check out his blog at “Saito 8”.
There’s hope for us all.

Norris: The address is the business office of the marina. They accept packages for us.
Next day air would be teriffic. Please let me know what the costs are and I will quickly reimburse you. Just tell me where to send the check.
Let me know if you and your wife decide to come to HNL. I’d be happy to hook you up and do some sailing. My wife and I found a wonderful little condo on the North Shore (beach) for $100/night. We’re also members of the Waikiki and Hawai’i Yacht Clubs, so there’s lots to do. Be forwarned, I’ll drain you of all of your 424 knowledge!
