My universal joint on the upper prop shaft was partially seized. I had the shop press it out and plan to visit NAPA tomorrow to have them ID it using the bearing cap dimensions. Has anybody ever replaced this and recall what the part number was? Looks like something off an F150.

      Chuck-
The U-joints that I purchased from Transmission Marine in FL came in boxes from Spicer labeled “5-153X”.
Remove the oil seals, if any, before installing them. I would be interested in knowing if they are common automotive parts.
I’m assuming that you still have the original model RV-20 Walter V-drive.
Do you have the Walter manual?

This is from my notes. I think the universal joint numbers are in here too.

I am replacing the universal joint that resides just forward of the
transmission. I’ll have them look up the spicer part number and start
there. Thanks for the parts list, very useful.

Uh, the Spicer part # I gave you was for the two U-joints internal to the V-drive. I think that you are talking about the one between the drive shaft and the transmission.
Let us know what the part number is, we have not replaced that part- Yet!
