Lady Leanne is a 1980 ketch (#135) with the U shaped galley to port. Thee is a large lower storage space under the counter top cubbie next to the sink cabinet that is very hard to reach and requires the emptying of the top cubbie to get to it. I have had thoughts of cutting an access hole through the cabinet wall for access. Has anyone done this? How do others use this space? Could it be a great place for a watermaker?

Door was made from the cutout section with solid-teak strips glued in to
      match the existing doors.
