      After taking the v-drive out of the cooling loop, did anyone plug the cooling ports? Did anyone fill it up oil or just left it dry before plugging?

      Sorry but I didn’t get this post in my email… just noticed it while wandering around the 424 site…
      I have been running without water cooling for 12 years without any issues. I filled the space up with 30W synthetic motor oil.
      Mobjack Pearl, a 1980 424, is in my marina and he did the same thing about 15 years ago.
