ParticipantTime to flush the cooling system and I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to approach this. Is there a specific drain plug on the bottom of the 58? I can’t seem to find this in the parts/service catalogs.

dipstick. It’s a petcock like the one on the expansion tank.Bob
I’m not being terse. This is from my mobile.

ParticipantGood one, thanks for the q and a. As a new owner of hull num 203, I’m interested in how many other original Westerbeke 58 engines are in use. Mine, knock wood, seems to be in good shape after about 100 hours of use this summer. Anyone augmented the instrumentation to improve monitoring, how often is the oil changed? Any tips to help continued longevity?
Thanks,
