I can’t tell you which mounts you might have, but I can tell you that you
can’t use any random mount. The resonant frequency of the engine and mount
are related to the engine weight and mount stiffness. If you put the wrong
thing in there, the engine might vibrate at certain frequencies. I would
suggest looking in your owner’s manual for mount information. They likely
specify the mount. Your existing mounts probably have a part number on them
so you might get the info there. This is a good time to closely inspect the engine pan if you haven’t already
done so. Pearson didn’t do a good job with the design.Rich

ParticipantYou might want to talk to the folks at http://www.bushingsinc.com/
They may have a cross reference. To my recollection they do most of
this based on total weight of the engine/tranny.Pete

ParticipantAlan:
My original mounts on my W60 were from Bushings Inc. The replacement mounts are DF-2207-2. I don’t know if these are the same for the W58, but they maybe if the engine weights are similar.
These mounts can be purchased for around $50 each.

ParticipantThose are theĀ mounts I came up with also. They are about 500. cheaper than the Westerbeke versions.
thanks

ParticipantThe problem with the original W-58 engine mounts, and probably the Bushings Inc replacements is that there is no mechanical fail safe to hold the engine if the boat experiences a knock down.
When we lifted our engine, the rubber pucks came right out of the aluminum housings on the transmission end of the engine. Some other manufacturers claim to have a metal to metal connection. That, or safety cables to the engine is probably a good idea.
