I am not sure that anyone other than me cares, but:

Another source for parts for the W60:

      http://www.kingcart.com/kipmotor/frontpage=Taxi

I did some research on the W60, and rumors that the engine is a london taxicab motor appear to be true. The engine is sometimes called a leyland 2.5, and sometimes called a BMC 2.5 and sometimes called an Austin 2.5. The engine was typical of the Carbody FX4D, the black london taxi. The FX4 had the 2.2 L engine from the same family.

The engines have some small value to the few taxi owners in the states, as the taxi motors have often seem many rebuilds and over 1 million miles. The guy at kip motors, Bill, did not know that the W58 was the same engine. We are double checking some detailed specs to make sure; I will post if we are contradicted.

      Still nursing mine along.

W60; Thornycroft marinized the same British Leyland block. They have base engine parts including piston rings, bearings etc. Shipping is expensive.

The W58 is a Mazda industrial block.

Wow! Thanks! I hope you can find the real W58. I heard it was a Mazda engine
but have had no luck finding out which. If its actually a leyland engine
      that would explain it.

Sorry, that was careless of me. I meant to say that Bill did not know that the W60 was the same engine as the FX4D. I have not done any research on the W58.

Thanks Chuck. I did find Thornycraft, and they said that they had items like lift pumps and water pumps too. The water pump was 96 british pounds, which is way more reasonable than Westerbeke prices.

the BMC 2.5 manual applies to W60

For a highly detailed maunal on the W60, see
      http://dc120.4shared.com/download/34167818/eb2257f2/BMC_15_-_25_Manual.pdf

Or, follow the link from http://www.themanualman.com/The_manual_man_Final/BMC_Forum_Portal.html

Great stuff, how to rebuild starter, injectors, injector pump, etc, etc.

Also, Thornycroft is out of business, but their inventory and number were bought by http://www.asap-supplies.com/worldwide-delivery/
