      Aloha to All

the washdown system we have is a a johnson 5.0 gpm (regardless of demand) washdown pump installed just aft of the forward v water tank. where you pull out the drawers in the forward state room. We also have a 3/4″ thru hull fitting in the bilge access panel that supplies the the salt water. the forward fresh water tank supply line runs past this area and is plumbed in at the gally. I was thinking of placing a tee from the fresh water to a valve, and a whale one 3/4″ Whale one way valve between the fresh and salt water supply lines. the washdown pump in plumbed in to the anchor locker with a fitting for a hose connection. We have to open the anchor locker to access the hose and connection. for water, we do have a water maker but my guess is the fresh water rince wound only be realisitice in the near shore condition.

at 5gpm it wound not take long to empty that tank but the freshwater option might be nice. just a bit concerned with the possibility of cross contamination if i forget to turn a valve ( if i placed the one way valve after the fresh water valve, it should minimize that problem). If we go off shore i would probaby cap one or the other???
