      Hello,

I’m installing an engine-driven RO water maker and am trying to decide how to plumb the product water lines.

Those of you who installed a water maker, did you plumb the product water directly to the tanks? I’m considering re-using the existing domestic water manifold before the domestic pump but am unsure if there is too much head pressure for the product water to fight against.

I installed the T valve so I can decide which tank the product water. Therefore the product water goes directly to the tank.  remember you’ll need product water to run back through the pump when you’re done. That same tap you use to get product water out of you’ll need to test the water before you start pumping it into the tank.
      Hope that makes sense.
