I am in the final process of rebuilding the cylinder head for my W63C engine. Westerbeke does not supply the cylinder head any more (typical) so I went on a hunt over the last 6 months worldwide to find a replacement. As an aside, the same cylinder head also may fit a W54. After an extensive search, I was able to locate the head in China. It turns out that the same engine was used in a 1974 GM small truck, and by Perkins, It was used in a 1984 for 1985 Ford Ranger Pickup. The basic engine has been around a long time. My engine started as a Kia engine converted for Westerbeke Mazda and sold by Westerbeke as a 63C engine. Currently the head is used as a Kia truck engine – sold all over the world except in the US. Let me know is one is needed, and I have two more that should work and might be able to get additional units from my contacts in China.

ModeratorFits a w54 or w58. Do you have a line in those engines or a research path
for parts? It would be very cool. Thanks,
Bob
I’m not being terse. This is from my mobile.

I think most parts Westerbeke sell are made by someone else. I have made some powerful contacts in China (where most aftermarket parts are made). I would have to assess part by part.
