The thread on hull identification numbers brought to mind another question that I have never understood very well. That is where P424’s were actually built. Aurora’s document lists Portsmouth, RI while the builder’s plate on the boat shows League City Texas. I had heard many years ago that Pearson had built boats in Texas for a while but never had a real understanding of the history. I’m guessing that perhaps my hull was built in Texas and the boat finished in Portsmouth.
Anyone have this history?
