Here is the response I got from Spectrum. The B1838 is a batch number not a part number. I would need a number that that starts with F50 or F55. Also if a sample was submitted we may have made a custom match. Hope this helps.

Quent, just got around to calling Spectrum Paint and I geve them the information Re Sea Ray Old White and their number B1838 they said they don’t have that and didn’t recognize the number. Seems to be a disconnect. Are there any other identifiers on the paint can? Thanks, Allan.

I am considering putting in a Mermaid Heat Pump, the 16k btu w/18.5k btu heat. have room in the space under the v berth and only need to eliminate the bottom drawer. Believe I can use the thru hull for the fwd head.(c-layout). Query, is this capacity sufficient, any experience with this unit, any pitfalls to look out for? Additionaly, does any one have an Espar heater and where is it located?

No, but that’s a good idea. Seems like there is some etching going on with the perimeter of the letters. Will get a better idea when I get back down to the boat. Live in Philly and this weather is spirit numbing. Thanks, Allan

Thanks for the reply. Are you doing the whole boat? My guess is that a quart should be plenty for the transom. Spectrum’s online ordering site is under repair will be calling them to place an order. How are you preping/

I am renaming boat and need to cover old painted name on transom. Not ready to paint whole boat, just transom. Any suggestions on matching shade of white by using original shade of gelcoat as a match.

As the new owner of Easy Reach #206, I can confirm what Norris said about my daughters and the Bell. More importantly, Norris used it as a signaling device if he or any crewmember at the helm needed assistance from another crew member in the cabin by running a light line to the helm so that a simple tug would do the job. Will keep the bell and the line.

Bob, thanks for the sites, I’m sure I’ll find what I need. The McMaster-Carr is incredible.

I know it is a Bomar because of the knob. This riser body is 6.75″ and I can’t find anything that small online. Tha smallest is 15″. I really need the knob which turns without turning the stud but the knobs shown (male) have a 5/16th stud while mine is 7/16th. Any help much appreciated

Thanks John, by the way your Sarah site was a factor in buying my boat.
