Yeah – I’m putting 12 4v batteries in the bilge – thanks to whomever posted photos of how to cut hatches there – 48v system with 12 big batteries and then 4×12 for the house, all oasis firefly carbon Nanofoam units. 

If my bilge is full, I have bigger problems than no engine. Sailing wise, this is the right thing to do – weight directly above the keel will do some good.

All – keel repairs continue!

Some photos of the bilge now. 15 layers of biaxial and epoxy on the inside. We’re grinding out the outside and putting in a lot more biaxial and epoxy over the next couple of days.

Making progress. I was thinking of glassing in a couple of bulkheads to stiffen and strengthen the keel further.

My weekend was filling deck holes and removing the headliner, and watching Hermine’s winds shake my stanchions – good news is I found out where the heavy delamination is 🙂

Bad news I’ve got to basically redo the decks port and starboard.

I didn’t, and just imagined everyone was busy. I’m getting all these emails, for sure!

20 holes plugged in my deck today. Slow progress, but progress! My bottom job starts Wednesday after the whole summer spent drying out the laminate.

Everyone, 

When you send an email to the site/through the site, it sends an email to everyone who is subscribed to that forum – even though it looks like the email is addressed directly to you, it is not. For example:

This email will show up to your address, but when you hit reply to, it will suddenly change to general@pearson424.org.

So when you address an email to someone, it’s ok – don’t think you’re getting the wrong email. It’s your invitation to participate. And we need to capture these conversations for the community anyway!

I hope this makes more sense!
