Site AdministratorKeymasterAll,
Thanks for your responses. My fiberglass guy is going to seal the inside first and then likely grind away on the outside. Its going to be one hell of a messy job, but at least I’ll be able to removed all the junk from below – old cables, hoses etc. One thing that happened when she ran aground is the starboard tabbing on the ballast plug came away. Its all going to be tabbed up again with biaxial and epoxy. This is going to be stronger than new!
I’ll keep you posted as work progresses.

Site AdministratorKeymasterAll,We’re here because we share a love of a particularly beautiful and functional sail boat, the Pearson 424. Like many emotions, this love can be expressed in different forms. And when love is present, our relationships can get damaged.I recognize that an earlier post may have been experienced as aggressive by some of you. I apologize for this and want to state very clearly that participation in funding he site is optional. So optional, in fact, that I will shortly remove the PayPal link from the site. My original intent was to provide some numbers on membership, participation and support – without specifically indicating any individuals. We appreciate all and any communication on this subject – truth is, the vibrancy and resilience of a community is evident in the way it deals with and grows from its challenges. By that measure I believe we’re doing well. Also don’t think Tor is part of Site Admin. He took it upon himself to express his views and certainly does not represent the will of the community. Any member of the community is entitled to their opinions and to express them in a respectful manner, from Tor to Topaz. If you’re abusive or threatening, you’ll be asked to stop. Banning is our last resort. Thanks always for your engagement and support.Ewan___

Site AdministratorKeymasterHi Everyone!
23 people have contributed $895(excluding two checks I’ve been promised) to the site, of the $1500 spent to date. 65 people out of 185 have logged on and used resources!
I’m so grateful to have helped get this going. We’ve managed to resolve most of the critical issues and all we’re hassling with are some formatting issues at this point.
If you’re needing any additional changes to improve your experience of the site, please let me know.
If you’re inclined to help with any of the expenses (and its not mandatory, but certainly appreciated), please use the PayPal link at the top.
I’m excited to bring the gallery and content to the new site next.

Site AdministratorKeymasterHi everyone,
I wanted to give you all an update on the site and where we are with the development work, and also an update on the funds spent and what is next.
Firstly, I’d like to apologize for the big emails snafu’s that have occurred with attachments. These should be in a better state now, as we’ve limited the size of attachments to 10MB and if you send/post a larger batch, the file is replaced by a link to a place on the site where the photo is stored. This should help address the challenges we’ve had.
Secondly, we’re trying to stabilize what we have in the site right now, waiting for the development of the last piece of functionality that will really round out what you’re all looking for – the ability to receive digests instead of lots of emails daily. I’m not sure how long this feature is going to take to implement, but it is definitely on its way.
Lastly, on funds. We’ve received about $685 of the $1400 we need to support the site, from 19 people, of the 66 who have logged in to the site. At present, I am on the hook for the balance, so to those of you who have contributed, thank you very much!
Fair winds!
Ewan

Site AdministratorKeymasterCheck the previous thread – the photos are all there. We’ve spent some time sorting out the email/photo challenges we’ve had, so we’re unlikely to get tons of repeat emails. Thanks everyone for your patience. I know this has been trying!EwanSent from Outlook Mobile___

Site AdministratorKeymasterAll,
Another site update!
1. Attachments should be fully functional. When you post to the web, or send attachments via email, they should show up in email, and post to the site.
2. Formatting is vastly improved. It is still not 100%, but I’ve discovered our engineer is using a very old email client, which doesn’t fully support modern web standards. He’s working on it now.
3. We’ve added more information to the footer of emails from the site so that you can follow the conversation a little better using the web. Check it out and give me feedback! On the fundraising front, we’ve hit $650 – thank you so much for your many contributions. of our 177 registered users, 57 people have logged in to the site. 19 of you have contributed to the site – you’re AWESOME!
What would you like next?
Excited to be supporting you all!
