update on W60

engine is out of boat and i have removed transmission (which i will be using), removed head and right now it looks like it was a blown head gasket but will be doing a little more investigation. i might also keep the raw water pump for a spare as it is the same on newer engine.

the parts i will look to sell are:

whole engine minus trans and water pump
or parting out the following:

injector pump rebuilt 2018
starter rebuilt 2019
heat exchanger new 2019
exhaust manifold refurbished cleaned 2019
exhaust pot stainless steel
oil and trans cooler
water pump (closed fresh water)
injectors rebuilt and calibrated 2017
injector lines

hi,

i have used trinadad Sr the last 2 times i did my bottom always very clean . i leave boat in water all year long up north in summer and in florida for the winter. 3gals and that should give you enough.

not sure i will be down on boat in a couple weeks will check it out. my westerbeke 60 decided to become a 3 cylinder engine instead of 4! found a w60 with 950 hrs on it in Ft Lauderdale having it shipped north now and will put all upgrades on my engine on newer one and plug back in boat hopefully all done before end of june, then back up north for rest of summer.

i had my compression checked 2years ago and had about 330-333 on all cylinders. i thought i saw in one of my books on engine that original was 427 psi but i will check agian when i get back south on it in a couple weeks

i have a cutter rigged ketch, i have yet to fly the storm jib but i did rig it up see pics attached. i have running back stays on main and mizzen mast, i will take additional pics of how storm stay connects to deck which is behind anchor winch.
