ParticipantI’ve also made my own with a label maker.
Google Blue Seas panel labels… lots of vendors pop up.
Blue seas used to sell their kits and individual labels, but it’s not clear if they still do – looks like they want to steer you to a retailer.Rick

ParticipantI have a westerbeke 63C four. I’ve used NAPA 1324 oil filter without issues for 12 years.

ParticipantHello Thom
I was part of the group (I think 14 or so) that bought mast pulpits from Dave at Railmakers in April 2008. I still have the emails, including ones from Dave… Tor Piney was the coordinator for the group.
Cannot imagine not having mast pulpits… yes order backing plates so you don’t have to make them…
Mine fit nicely except I did have to fabricate a block so one leg would appropriately mate with the deck…

Just to be 100% clear/certain… what model is it? RV-20? or something else?
Thanks

ParticipantWe recently recovered ours using the white vinyl with foam backing from sailright.
We did not reinforce the bow. I didn’t have the time or energy for that project and we don’t plan to sail off shore. We’ve not had issues with oil canning in the Chesapeake Bay.
Looks and feels good.

We sail Eclipse out of the Mobjack Bay. We go to Chucktown frequently, mostly staying with Smitty at the Oyster Farm. We’ve been in your store several times. Nice place and yummy stuff….
Recently moved our boat from Mobjack to Wilton Creek off the Piankatank.

ParticipantI have Kato Island Model Davits. Our dinghy is a 10′ RIB and we keep a 8hp 2 stroke on it. Our davits are attached to the coming area and then supported to the back rail and with supports bolted to the rear deck. See attached photo of davits without dinghy. Agree that the davits present significant lever forces.
Suggest you reinforce and use substantial backing plates.

ParticipantMay 206 I installed a 6×20 in the aft cabin on the port side as well in the head over the sink. We had previously installed 6 NFM ports in the fwd cabin and saloon. Install of the 6x20s went fine. I have no issues with the way they look. We still have the original large non opening ports in the shower and at the galley on the port side.

ParticipantYes, I left my old traveler with Guido at the Annapolis Boat Show 12 years ago. He made us a new traveler that fit onto the existing dog houses.
Mobjack Pearl is a 424 that Guido made a new traveler for that included structures that replaced the dog houses. That was approx 2 years prior to him making mine.Rick Dugger

ParticipantDavid,
The Admiral is very particular about smells so we don’t use the lower anchor compartment. Our deck anchor locker has no communication to the lower anchor locker. I usually have to stop and knock down the chain castle 2-3 times while bringing in the 90 feet. I made myself a long handled tool using pvc pipe and the claw from a hand garden cultivator. I can push and pull chain around with it while standing up. The deck anchor locker has a drain. I hose the chain off as it is brought in and also after it is in the locker. I use an extension wash wand used by RV owners to get close to the chain to rinse it off whilst bringing it in. Great tool. When we return to marina it gets rinsed off with fresh water.Rick Dugger #73

ParticipantMy Lewmar H2 gypsy will pull either chain or rope. It is on the starboard side of the windlass. The port side is a drum and I’ve never had occasion to use it.
I have 90 feet of chain and 60 feet of rope. While the gypsy will grab and pull the rope, the overall situation is not ideal. Since rope doesn’t fall well into the locker, the rope tends to overwrap and get jammed up on the gypsy. If I were to pull it into the locker as the gypsy is turning then it seems to work but I don’t have enough hands to do that. My usual system when I have more than a snubbers length of line out is to drive up on the anchor and pull the rope in by hand onto the deck. I then put the first foot of chain on the windlass. Before using the windlass to pull the chain up as the Admiral drives up on the anchor, I use two hands to feed and pull the rope into the locker.Rick

ParticipantI installed a 16K Mermaid 12 years ago in the wet locker located at the foot of the midship companionway. We sail out of the Mobjack Bay in the southern Chesapeake just north of Hampton.
16K cools pretty good most of the time. We take measures like previous posters on hotest days (shade tent over main boom, close aft cabin).
Our single 30 amp service would not support more AC along with the other 110 things running.
