ModeratorI’m also fairly certain that Pat N. has the last updated list (or passed it on to Ewan).
I’ll see if I can’t track it down and take on the task of reworking it since I’m laid up currently after shoulder surgery…if that’s OK with site admin, of course.
Let’s hold off on listing our updates here until such time as we figure out what info we want to gather/maintain.Cheers!

ModeratorThat’s it. Thanks Patrick. But is there a link somewhere to make it easy for everyone to find? Again, I might be missing it.
To Paul’s question: I think we should keep it updated, but I’m not the one on the hook. (I guess the right thing for me to do here would be to volunteer to take that on…ha)Evan

ModeratorThat’s great news, Paul! Glad Sygnus is safe. James, good luck to Windward Star…hopefully it won’t be TOO bad up there.
Revery rode it out like a champ in Cape Canaveral. No damage from what we can tell from the video our dockmate took. A few liveaboards on our dock stayed put (crazies) and kept everyone updated. It was kind of cool watching her bobbing happily in her slip. Lots of shredded biminis around the marina and a few boats broke cleats from the docks but from what we hear, no boats were lost. I’d say that’s pretty good…evidently we were getting gusts north of 85 mph. Thankfully Matthew seemed to not like land and kept a distance off shore.
Hope everyone else is safe and sound!

ModeratorThanks Ewan, et al.
Matthew thankfully missed Pete and Jill on Regina Oceani as they sat in Curacao. I know they HAD to be thinking, “Hey! This is out of the zone!!” Glad it passed them by.It looks like Revery is going to take a direct Cat 4 hit sometime Friday morning/noon. We happened to be down there this weekend and were able to ensure our hurricane prep was adequate. We’ll see if it is, I guess. We’re fortunate to have her in a nice hurricane hole marina, so we’re fairly confident she’ll ride it out.
Regardless, it’s just “stuff” and we have insurance. We’re much more concerned about the lives in Matthew’s path. Here’s hoping everyone hunkers down and comes through safe and sound!
To all the other listers in the same boat as us, good luck!!

ModeratorI suspect what has happened is that individuals profiles are dropping ‘general mailing list’. This is what happens to me. If I haven’t received anything in a while, I go to the site and check my profile, and invariably I need to re-check ‘general mailing list’.
Aaaand, that’s what happened to me. Thanks for the tip, David!

ModeratorDennis,
I might be interested in your RV-20. If you want to shoot me an email offline, we can discuss. hedonisticvalues at g mail
Thanks,
Evan
Revery #219I Have an RV-20 that I just took out of Flying Mare, It’s always been in fresh water and was functioning fine with a tiny rear seal leak. Instead of rebuilding it I put in an RV-26. I’d be glad to sell it for a fair price.Yours for a better world

ModeratorStephen,
Which Lucas do you use? The Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer? At the recommended 20%? Thanks!Evan

ModeratorNo worries. If you can get pictures of the setup anyway, I would appreciate it. Debating which way to go on that…
Thanks again.Evan

ModeratorRob,
That would be MOST appreciated, especially how they’re run to the winches (assuming you use the windward primary instead of tackle). Regardless, pics would be great. Thanks!Revery
ModeratorRich,
I just realized I never replied to you. Sorry about that!
To answer your question: no, not yet. But it’s near the top of my list of critical fixes. I got down behind the quadrant last time I was on the boat to check all of the “stuff” down there and reconnect the linear actuator. The job was made much easier with Ewan handing me wrenches while he drank my beer. Thanks Ewan!
The steering system looked great as did the rudder stuffing box. However, I found several instances of loose hardware (mostly non-critical, but annoying if they fell off). Luckily, I don’t see any signs of the transom buckling but YIKES does that area need beefed up!
I just read through your fix and another that involved layering mat and roving tapered toward the edges. Both seem more than adequate for the job and yours is quite elegant, actually. I’ll have to do some serious thinking on how I want to handle it.
Thanks for chiming in!As for the running backstays, I think I’ve got that noodled out. I was over-complicating it…gotta remember to always KISS!

ModeratorSo thanks to Ewan, I realized Reveryâs platform suffers badly frim crevice corrosion and needs replacing. Itâs now off the boat and I have a couple of guys coming by to quote. Hereâs the question:
Is there any reason NOT to do it in aluminium? Stainless is pretty, but our davits and hard top supports are aluminium with no signs of being insufficient. Thoughts?

ModeratorEwan,
I hate to be the bearer of bad news (again), but the mail list functionality is spotty again. It seems like not all Post Topics are coming through. For example, I received everything re: port lights but nothing about salon floor sag; all of…wait! I just noticed what it is. Any topic with 1 post I didn’t get. In other words, when someone creates a topic, I don’t get an email until someone replies to that topic.
Anyone else notice that? The limitation here is that, unless we pop onto the message board, we won’t know that new topics have been created.
(All that said, I’m not getting mail list notification of ANYTHING going on in Announcements or For Sale).
Thanks again for your work!
Evan

ModeratorNope. Was not getting any mail from any of the 3 forums. That is, until early this morning when I received the original and three responses to “Fuel Tank Solenoid Valve” (still not threading). Since then, I’ve only received your reply to this post (which may very well be the only activity since then).
Revery
ModeratorYep, Pat’s correct…at least for #219. Revery is a factory cutter and she’s a “59” hull.
