ModeratorThanks Patrick. And welcome to owning one of these good old girls! And it sounds like you found a nice one.Any chance you know which Westerbeke she has?Cheers,EvanRevery
ModeratorDennis,
I’ll take it. Revery’s v-drive is working but is suspect.
Where are you located? I see your homeport is Milwaukee, but not sure if you’re there or not. If you are, I could save you the trouble of shipping (and me the expense) by picking it up the next time in the north ‘burbs of Chicago. Thanks,
Evan

ModeratorStephen and Jodi (Blue Pelican),
Old post, I know, but did you need the shallow oil pan on the Beta 50? I was talking with the US rep at a boat show recently and he couldn’t recall whether the 424 needed that option or not.
Thanks.Evan

ModeratorEwan,
Not to hijack the thread, but here’s a link to one man’s explanation of why loose-footed. I found it informative…

ModeratorThanks a lot, John. Great looking website, BTW…and Rhythm is beautiful!

ModeratorJohn,
As I was adding your website to the database, I noticed that we don’t have updated information for Rhythm (and you).
If you wouldn’t mind, could you please verify the following for us?
-vessel name
-HIN
-power plant
-rig
-USCG # (if any)
-owner name
-owner email
-homeport
-where currently berthed
-year purchased
-any “interesting” variation (e.g. added an inner forestay, L galley, two head, etc.)Thanks for your help in our effort to update the owners list!

ModeratorThanks for the videos, John. Watched both this morning over a few cups of coffee…a nice respite from the snow outside my window. Had to laugh at the “we’ll fix it under way” issue with the water pump. That’s something that I would be prone to do but, luckily, my wife would have made sure it was fixed pronto. 🙂
We’re on the same timeline as Paul…another 11 months and we’re Bahamas bound. Can’t wait!Evan

ModeratorThanks Gary. We're currently “stuck” in Indianapolis, but this is our last (8th) winter here. Revery is in Merritt Island, FL (Cape Canaveral) and we'll be at least 1/2 time on her starting in July. As much as we love TX, basing the boat there just isn't convenient for us. My in-laws are still in Katy so we get there and San Antonio/Austin occasionally.

ModeratorWelcome Rich! Nice to see another former C&C owner…we started with a C&C 26 (which is on the market) and love C&Cs!
Question…is Easy Reach a factory cutter (i.e. with the self-tacking boom and post)? Just trying to clear up some myth and lore surrounding when the first cutter came out of the factory.
Cheers,
Evan

ModeratorThanks Gary. Nice to see another Texan floating about (wife and both my kids are natives).
When you get a chance, can you shoot me your HIN and year built? For some reason, the old database doesn’t have that info for JB Moates.
Thanks!Evan

ModeratorJanie, we’ll be there all day Friday (and possibly Thursday). We missed last year, but have made it a 3 day weekend in the past. Work’s getting in the way this year, but we HAVE to get up there to talk to some vendors.
We’d love to meet other 42x owners!Evan
Does anyone plan to go to the Chicago Strictly Sail Boat Show next week ?Janie Ashworth

ModeratorThanks to those that have sent their info already, it’s a great start! I’m sure there’s some extra data we haven’t been capturing (registry # in your home country, current engine, etc.), so we’ll hash that out over then next day or two and start a new post with the requested data fields (thanks for volunteering to help, Dan…you’re on the hook now LOL)
Pat Noordsij has provided me with a data file with the most current info she had and it’s a GREAT starting point. Thanks Pat!Ewan,
I’ll get with you offline about ideas re: integration into the website. I think we can keep this fairly simple, yet robust.Cheers,
Evan
