SpectatorFree Spirit, the boat I have an offer on currently. Has moved the windlass aft of the anchor locker and just forward of the deck hatch, so much so that I feel it makes the VBerth useless for adults. I plan to relocate it or come up with a way to move that pipe after the anchor is down. That actually sounds impossible everytime I say it outloud, but I’m still trying to keep an open mind and maybe not have to relocate the windlass.

SpectatorOne more question about the cabin top teak eyebrow and portholes. Are the vertical portions of the cabin top through which the portholes are mounted cored or is it solid fiberglass.
Thanks…

SpectatorI think what I saw was not the official plaque then. It was a plaque with full name of Pearson a logo and a small area to engrave and only the number 173 was engraved. This plaque was not mounted on the hull it was in the nav station.
I’m sure its not intentional, I just assume the broker who handled both the previsou sail and this for the current previous owners (who only owned her a year) didn’t know any better. I saw the survey from that purchase and it listed the HIN as unknown.
I got the # of P424s built at 255 from the boat bio on YachtWorld, I would trust your own numbers over the brokers. 🙂

SpectatorTurns out Mischief Maker used to be called SPRAY and has hull number 173. Anyone familiar with the history of that boat?
Doing a little math… if only 255 P424s were made from 1978-1983/5 could hull number 173 really be a 1983?
Last One (Hull 174) and Bel Esprit (Hull l175), what year were your P424s built?
Thanks,
