ParticipantTo find out the capacity of a water tank: 1. Start with a empty tank. 2. turn your dock water hose to a medium flow. 3. time how long it takes that flow to fill a one gallon jug. 4. Move hose to tank you want without changing flow and start timing . 5. Divide the fill time by jug time = gallons.

I have never used the Topclimber system so don’t know how good their ascenders are. mine is about the same but uses Petzl ascenders they are made for rock climing, caving & mountain climbing/ they don’t slip and go up the line with ease. I winch my halyard to the top (Hard) then sit in my chair to get any stretch out of the line. I have my wife tie off the bitter end of the line to a mast cleat to remove most of the slack.
I had mast steps on my Gulfstar 37 and like them pretty well but the halyard likes to get stuck between the steps at the worst time, so I put a 150# fishing line on the outside of the steps which keeps the halyard from between the steps, but the line would start howling when the wind got above 15 knots and would scream at 30 or more (I like my sleep and don’t want to hear about a little wind at night.)

ParticipantThe Honda is a great generator but will not meet marine or ABYC standards so watch out. Heres a link on Carbon Monoxide:[/url]http://www.uscgboating.org/command/co.htm
Know where and how CO may accumulate in and around your boat.
Maintain fresh air circulation throughout the boat at all times. Run exhaust blowers whenever the generator is operating.
Know where your engine and generator exhaust outlets are located and keep everyone away from these areas.
Never sit, teak surf, or hang on the back deck or swim platform while the engines are running. Teak surfing is NEVER a safe activity.
Never enter areas under swim platforms where exhaust outlets are located unless the area has been properly ventilated.
Although CO can be present without the smell of exhaust fumes, if you smell exhaust fumes, CO is also present. Take immediate action to dissipate these fumes.
Treat symptoms of seasickness as possible CO poisoning. Get the person into fresh air immediately. Seek medical attention-unless you’re sure it’s not CO.
Install and maintain CO alarms inside your boat. Do not ignore any alarm. Replace alarms as recommended by the alarm manufacturer.
Follow the checklists provided on this website.Syringa

ParticipantI converted my mechanical fuel sending unit by replacing the caspule with Tempo #420110 electric caspule and installing a fuel gauge by the Nav Station. With this caspule you can still look at the gauge through the viewing port (if your glass is not shot) and read it or read the inside fuel gauge.
Look at page 16 for more info on the attached URL http://www.tempoproducts.com/pdf/tempo_2004_catalog_low.pdf

ParticipantI have a good wife who scraped, sanded, and swore at the glue that holds the foam on. But after a winter of working she had it all removed. She used her fingers to remove the softer stuff, and I used a power wheel to help. Anyway it’s all gone and we have replaced it with a Triton Oyster foam backed vinyl we got from King Richard Co. (nice folks) http://www.UpholsterySupplies.Com We used 3M 08088 General Trim Adhesive we got from Sailrite. Work fast with this stuff as once it sets you can’t get it off.

Here is a link to prop speed http://www.propspeedusa.com/index.htm the cost is about $350 per prop/shaft. It seems to work in Puget Sound (but I have only seen it a few times) If feels like slick rubber and produces a surface that does not allow marine growth to permanently attachit.
