What were using to scrape with? Was it just a hand powered scraper? Seems
like that stuff was peeling off pretty easy.

Go to Home Depot. Buy a roll of Reflectix. It will cover the interior of
your refrigerator like you want with some left over and you can then start
    covering your lockers as well.

They don’t carry it at Home Depot (not at mine anyway), but Reflectix makes
a Double layer that you might look for online.

I am thinking a two staged approach. First I need an immediate cool boost

insulated/quilted space blanket (Academy Sports) for about $4.95 that I will
cut and make a blanket to lay over the food stuff to keep the cool from
rushing out when I open the thing to get the mayonaise. Kinda like that
“cool bag” they sell at Walmart. That’s why I need inside diminsions.
I saw in one of the sail mags recently where they sell a “custom”
refrigerator/icebox blanket for 15cents per square inch. I am assuming the
concept works, so I make the blanket for $4.95.

Then, later, I plan to do the insulation job similar to what Tor did. I
have a friend who did almost the same thing with his Pearson 39 and it
worked great. He used that Home Depot white plastic paneling and 5200 over
some kind of foam or styrofoam. I will have to look at the old write-up
    that Tor did.

Dawn and I have been more busy than we have been the past 2 years… not
only are we doing our double shift (work + boat work) but we’ve been also
having a yard sale at the condo. If the person buys our bed on Tuesday
we’ll officially be liveaboards that evening. Our condo is still a mess
(big plastic bag on the building and construction to repair the building)
but we’re keeping to our personal schedule.

As far as project go, I have been converting my PC, monitor, etc to DC power
and cleaning up the wiring in the aft locker (5.5 hours in that locker
today). Our Spectra capehorn extreme installation is also rolling along. the
control side of things are mounted in the starboard hanging locker. I plan
to mount the membrane and clark pump under the salon floor on the port side.
The POR is to lag bolt a 3/4″ piece of marine grade plywood across the
stringers just aft of the main mast and to hang the watermaker membrane
from that. I’ll pre-drill the board to fit the watermaker frame and put
tee-nuts into the board so it can be removed if needed. Installation won’t
require this, but we’re also thinking of adding a hatch into the salon floor
adjacent to the pump to facilitate maintenance.

I am sooooo behind on taking pictures of things, might be able to “Ketch-Up”
on that this weekend as well.

You might enjoy my watermaker unboxing video:

Sold the table at a swap meet. I thin the guy was going to put it into a
Southern Cross. We’re not table eaters… and the table took up WAY too much
room in the salon for our likes anyway.

I’ve been thinking about a removable coffee table setup to set your rum
drinks or Balvenie Portwood scotch on, but that project is way down on the
    list.

Not sure if I replied to you…

We definitely wanted to have a two shelves in that space and it turns out
the lower setting for the “seat” makes that easy. We could have put one big
door on the front, but it just seemed easier and visually consistent to have
the same doors as the new cabinets up top.

I have the benefit of having my headliner down at the moment, so I’m going
to put a schaefer padeye on the deck.
    http://schaeferhardware.com//SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=267

As some ideas, attached are some pics of cunningham configurations from the
    Harken catalog.
I like the line through the sail more than the cunningham hooks, however
unlike in the drawing it needs to be detachable, but I don’t think 8:1 or
more is really necessary. I’m going to go with a single block at the top
with a becket and a fiddle with a cam cleat on the bottom achieving 3:1 if I
    have that correct.

Before you start to equalize, learn how to use a good hydrometer, one
