ModeratorWe do all our oils cushioned with pasta, crackers, cookies forward. We
have a wire stand mid – with things like aluminum foil, saran wrap, etc
and we store our fruit on the top shelf of the rack. Then aft – cutting
boards outboard behind the deck scupper hose, coffee stuff ( thermos,
current coffee bag), clothes pins (they were there when we bought the
boat 13yrs ago). As Bob suggests – when we first provision for a trip –
lots of other stuff gets put in around existing items… while we say
we’ll document we never do and always have to search because we can’t
remember.– pat

stuff (I prefer the patented Bob Fine method of stacking and shoving, etc.
so you may not want to take my advice).I have seen half of the section (over the stove) used as a microwave. What
we don’t know or remember is if you have the ‘U’ shaped galley or the ‘L’
one.Bob

Does anyone have any suggestions for redesigning the port galley storage
area that is behind the sliding doors? If so, do you have any pics? Ours
is completely open right now and we don’t have any shelving or organization
at all.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks,

ModeratorReally – it’s always wet? I use a cork to seal it .. and then put dirty
shirts and other not so big things with detergent just before we take
off… works great as a small washing machine for us. Does it work for
us because we’re in fresh water?– pat

Hi all,
Since moving on the boat and using the shower pretty much everyday has made fighting the water and scum build up in the seat area in the shower the bain of my existence. We don’t use the space for anything since it never dries out. I was wonderinf if anyone has just filled in the space and sealled it off? And if so, what did you fill it with? I was thinking of using that spray foam stuff and then creating a gasket of sealant around the top edge and screw down the seat cover.
Thanks,
Dawn

So far it’s been folks with Yahoo accounts. Whether it’s their machine

ModeratorI know that we have not changed out the mast step… and I know the po
did not – he was barely up to swapping out the cushions.. Now the
original owner – maybe but probably not – as he owned a max prop in a
box for 10 yrs, passed to the next owner and we inherited finally 15 yrs
later. This wasn’t the kind of maintenance these guys would do.

ModeratorThe ss window is 229.95 + spacer @ 39.95 + screen min 24.95. Boat show

I also am considering the NFM SS ports and called Michael Lux as you
suggested to Joe. The boat show price I received for six 5×12 ports was
$1529.10 which he said was a $37 per port saving. The $1529.10 price works
out to be $254.85 each. Just curious about the source of the $230 price you
mentioned in your earlier message.? Second question concerns cabin wall
thickness. Do you (or anyone else) know what that is? Alternatively, can
someone who has purchased these tell me whether teak spacers were required
to make up the correct thickness? Michael Lux mentioned needing somewhere
around 3/4 inch thickness. I’d be surprized if our cabins are that thick.
Thanks,
Phil fontaine – Aurora
